Amazon Property’s The Park Crescent includes a striking penthouse by Dara Huang of Design Haus Liberty
John Nash’s terraced house crescent opposite Regent’s Park, a stone’s throw from the bustling capital’s heart, is one of London’s most iconic addresses. Now, the street is about to enter a brand new phase, with Amazon Property’s recent launch of The Park Crescent, a collection of 20 two- to four-bedroom apartments within part of the complex’s redesigned interiors.
Amazon acquired the east side of the historical crescent in 2013. Work swiftly began on carefully restoring the original details and craftsmanship. The original Nash facades were retained but the residences behind it are entirely new, brought up to date and styled with the help of four contemporary London architects and interior designer firms: 1508 London, Oliver Burns, DH Liberty and Taylor Howes.
The different apartments have each been given their own character, using luxurious materials such as Calacatta Michelangelo marble and granite workshops and panels, oak cupboards and bespoke joinery. Amenities will include a 24-hour management and concierge. Prospective buyers can purchase the apartments with the designers’ proposed furniture package, or without.

The London-based Taiwanese-American architectural designer Dara Huang – of Design Haus Liberty – is behind the interiors of the striking penthouse. ’The brief was to create a home with a distinct personality, clean and cool yet warm and welcoming,’ says Huang. ’We started by creating a series of vistas within the open-plan space. Each area features a design focal point in the form of bold artwork, texture or fireplace.’
An open plan living area includes a library and reading space, a lounge with a fireplace and TV, dining room and statement copper bar for entertaining. ’We wanted to add a playful gallery flair to the space by adding various complementing hues and shapes in a simple set,’ continues Huang. The material palette includes industrial distressed metal panels, black caged cupboards, and polished copper. There are two dining spaces – one formal and one informal.
The Park Crescent’s full completion is currently planned for 2018, while at the moment eight of the 20 apartments have been sold.
